XC Skiing…

Today I went cross country skiing for the first time in two years. For three years, I’ve really not done much exercise of any kind, and I’ve gained about 25-30lbs or so… I was curious to see how it would affect me. So here it is

A few years ago I would knock off this ski in 45-50mins. It would be a ski I’d typically do in the morning before work. I used to think of it as a short ski. Today, It took about 1hr and 45 min. and I was completely bonked at the end. Its only 13.5km and includes about 255m of elevation gain during the ski.
